A member of the NOPD Internal Affairs Division, Ralph Marino was brought in to investigate the possible corruption of vice officers Kunze and O'Malley in Infernal Affairs, where he was rather bluntly introduced to the existence of the supernatural.

40s, male, Caucasian, Captain in NOPD Internal Affairs Division

1. Defining physical characteristic. Balding up front, but manages to make it look stylish. 2. Consistently worn article of clothing Wire-rimmed glasses. A suit and tie, always. He never dresses down for anything. 5. Obvious personality quirk Nobody in the NOPD seems to like him. Makes sense, since no one ever likes the internal affairs guys.

History

Season 1

• First seen in Infernal Investigations, Marino helped to investigate two possibly dirty vice cops. When confronted with the supernatural, he seemed willing to believe the evidence in front of him, and more than a little thoughtful about the unknown dangers that the Special Investigations Unit, and New Orleans, were facing.
• When Captain DuPuis is badly injured in Infernal Investigations, someone needs to take over captaining the unit. After witnessing what it is the town and its law enforcement faces, Marino decides that the unit needs to be made a permanent fixture at the end of the season in Possession is 9/10ths.
